What to Expect
When you bring your pet to us for wellness care

A veterinarian will start by performing a thorough physical examination. This exam includes:
- Checking their weight and temperature
- Examining their eyes for signs of cataracts, infections, glaucoma, allergies, and jaundice
- Assessing their muscle tone and checking for enlarged lymph nodes
- Performing abdomen, spine, and joint checks to look for signs of tenderness, pain, tumors, and enlarged organs
- Testing the heart and lungs to look for heart murmurs, clear lungs, and irregular heartbeats
- Inspecting the ears and mouth for infections, inflammation, and tartar
- Performing blood work, urinalysis, and fecal testing
Why Wellness Care Is so Important
Wellness care allows us to catch potential problems like parasites, skin infections, tumors, and other issues early when they are easier (and more affordable) to treat. Bringing your pet in regularly for wellness care is also the best way to keep them updated on things like flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives and vaccinations.
