Our Dental Procedures
For Dogs and Cats

Dental Cleanings
During a dental cleaning, plaque and tartar are removed from your dog or cat’s teeth both above and below the gumline. Your pet’s entire mouth is examined, too, to make sure there are not any problems. Cleanings are performed only while the patient is under general anesthesia. In addition to ensuring your pet’s comfort and safety, the use of anesthesia allows us to do a thorough job.
Dental Radiographs
Dental radiographs for pets are much like the x-rays your dentist takes when you go in for a checkup. Our veterinarian takes detailed dental x-rays to see areas they cannot view with the naked eye. Thanks to x-ray technology, they can examine the teeth above and below the gumline, look inside the teeth, and more. The knowledge our team gains from dental radiographs allows them to provide comprehensive care and make appropriate recommendations for at-home care.
Tooth Extractions
While it’s important to help your dog or cat keep their teeth whenever possible, extractions are sometimes necessary. Whether it’s a broken tooth, unerupted teeth, severe tooth decay, or advanced gum disease, there are several situations in which removing one or more teeth is the best course of action. When your pet needs an extraction, you can rest assured they will be in skilled and loving hands with our expert staff.
Dental Surgery
There are several situations in which a pet might need dental surgery. Some of the most common include growth removal, repairing a fractured jaw, and repairing dental or oral defects. When your pet needs oral surgery, our professionals will do everything possible to help. The comfort and safety of our patients are always our primary concerns, and we will take every precaution to ensure the best possible outcome for your furry family member.
